The fourth weekend was terribly hot and humid. 95 degrees with 70 to 80% humidity, 6 people died from heat in Chicago alone. Late Sunday a squall line came thru dropping about 2 inches in 30 minutes. I have soggy costumes hanging everywhere but not drying because of the continuing humidity.
I did not enjoy the weekend or any aspect of it and am now in one of those rare moods when retirement is not such an alien thought.
Starting this weekend I will be posting halter sizes on the individual diary pages to help people determine what size they are interested in
DRESSERS!!! Please understand that what I do for you is not free to me. Two people are on my payroll solely to help me with you. I spend $2000 a year on skirts, scarves, laundry and repairs. Each of your free souvenir photos cost me a dollar (times 40 to 60 a weekend 30 weekends a year) and they have to be processed while I eat my lunch.
When I don't get to eat lunch OR sit down on a day my helpers have a mandatory 10 minutes paid break per hour and then dressers who already have several photos from this year complain when I don't have their picture ready because I was lucky enough to actually be making sales on a hot miserable weekend it takes all my control to keep from being pissy.
