We enjoyed a great spring in Austin. the weather stayed comfortable until our last couple of weeks. I did major reworking of my back yard with an eye yo feeding Tortie. I added half a dozen roses bushes, several hibiscus as well as pruning existing plants to restore them to bush status. I had trained them to be more tree like but i cant then reach the flowers for my cold blooded girl friend. Also three grape vines. she had never had a proper diet and wouold not eat any tortous food. I taught her to like native foods by making grape leaf wraps with the good food inside, now we dont need the grape leaves to get her to eat what she should.
She is a 34 year old california desert tortous (agassi) rescued as an egg. she has gone from 8 pounds to 12 this yearand is much stronger and more active than ever in her life.

we have a great crew this year, they all have at least 2 years with us and many have 8 or more altho we have several not available the first two weeks.

opening weekend had delight full weather with moderate crowds. Saterday sales were scary slow but Sunday was unpresidentedly goodnearly making up for the 34% Saterday was off from last year.

We saw many old friends and we all had a chance to at least walk the grounds if not actually see a show or shop.
