Over 100 of these piles have been spread in the 25 years I have been working on building the road. it took a long time because the base was highly organic and each year saw settling but i be I believe it is stable now. before this area had been open to booths it had been the camping area and after each show was over the hay bales that used to be the standard sesating would be dumped over the hillside it is now mostly decomposed and replaced by tree roots
