My 27th opening day went relativly well.
We had a record fast bug out from MN fest dure in part to packing early and in part to my friends the Rutschows. their sons are highschool football players and the brought thier favorite linemen to help me carry everything to the vehicles to pack. We actually got to swing by home in Austin for an overnight stay on wenesday.
Pigman ( my show drummer) and Susan (she books my dressers in the morning) came out and cleaned the booth the weekend we were closing MN so it was an easy move in.
I did over work my strained ankle and could not walk the parade but the shows went well even tho I had not taken my flute out of its case since last years final show and did not blow thru it until the show had started.
the weather was great but Sunnday closed an hour early because of approaching sever storms. It proved to be a good idea, the storms were bad enough to get me to pull off the road and wait it out
