Once again, the closing of MNRF and opening of TRF proved to be the hardest week of our year.
Five days to pack MN , travel 1500 miles, and set up to open TRF is simply brutal. For the last several years we have had perfect weather for the week but this year it was ugly. The cold rains in MN started early, Thursday before closing was a freezing monsoon, Friday, (an open day for no good reason I can see) misted enough to keep a nice muddy slime everywhere. Saturday was cold and muddy but not much rain. Sunday was worse and Monday and Tuesday (packing) were constant, hard and bitter cold. I hate cold.
Wednesday was dry but we had more rain Thursday and Friday. My truck and trailer ar still stuck in the mud behind the neighbors booth.
As you can see from the photos my owners came out en mass. We walked in the mud and did two fun shows. We stopped the music for each so they could introduce themselves and say something about their Chainmaille. They had both eye opening and breath taking things to say!
We have some old hands back and have a few new faces on the crew. Indeed we have more than we have had since the days of the 5 o:clock parties. (Early 80's)
Next week I will be accepting dressers as time allows
