Closing weekend was a monster! Prefect weather brought record crowds. Sunday around
noon they had to close the gates for a couple of hours because the parking lots were full!
We will no longer be haveing the group hoto after the parade. For reasons of thier oun the
management has decided to limit the number of people I can send to the parade to 4. I have
no valid criteria for rejecting any of the fans and dressers I value so highly so I have
elected not to participate at all. I apologize to any of you that are disteressed by this
developement but I can see no altenative.
The festival has the power to change rules as they see fit, I just regret the embarrisment
and anger that was generated by thier failure to notify all parties in advance and in
writing.
overall attendance dropped to the lowest number since 1990 and we personnally have to go
back to 1994 for a year that had less gross sales. Minnasota now has a chance to top
Bristol sales and do it in two less weeks!
I am NOT complaining. We are making progress on our debt load and it is still better to be
Randolph than it is to be King!
